Environmental Protection Specialist may be involved with the assessment and control of physical, chemical, biological or environmental hazards in the workplace that could cause injury or diseases. In addition, candidate will support and implement processes and approaches for addressing laws, regulations, Executive Orders (EOs), DoD policies, environmental compliance, and hazards associated with environmental impacts, system safety (e.g. platforms, systems, system-of-systems, weapons, explosives, software, ordinance, combat systems), occupational safety and health, hazardous materials management, and pollution prevention. These activities support the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) G-4 Environmental mission located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. This position requires 20-30% travel.
Candidate must hold a Bachelor?s degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health or other related technical discipline and have at least 5-10 years of experience. Experience supporting environmental research and/or regulatory compliance for DOD programs will be considered in lieu of a degree.
