IAI is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Systems Engineer who's role will be in support of Department of Defense (DoD) Advanced Systems and Development Directorate (SMC/AD) programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) in El Segundo, CA. Provide project support evaluating technologies and capabilities appropriate for the Enterprise Ground System architecture.
* Provide project support to U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center, Advanced Systems and Development Directorate evaluating technologies and capabilities appropriate for the Enterprise Ground System architecture. * Provide Cyber Security/System Engineering expertise including consultation with our customer in the development of SMC/AD programs. * Interface with NSA on requirements as well as draft such documents as the Tempest Control Plan and Custom ASICS plan. * Program support includes life-cycle stages from concept development and contract pre-acquisition through contractor design and accreditation. * Consult with customer during working group participation and provide solutions to challenging problems. * Engage customer and colleagues to coordinate and resolve differences. * Evaluate technical risk in accordance with Risk Management Framework (RMF). * Interface with other government organizations during security evaluation of engineering design solutions. * Provide compliance support during contractor accreditation phase. * Work as a member of a cross-functional space system team. + Developing plans, schedule, budget, goals, timelines + Monitoring project status + Gather, document and present project status and results + Brief senior management and internal/external customers
* Bachelor's Degree with 10 or more years of Cyber Security Systems Engineering Experience * Must be fully knowledgeable with DoD IA/Cyber Security Directives * Ability to understand concepts and terminology in security domains including governance, risk management, architecture, compliance, and operations and be able to express them in a clear and concise manner * Experience writing DIACAP and/or Risk Management Framework (RMF) Package * Experience with the eMASS certification and accreditation database * Level 2 TEMPEST certified * Critical thinking skills * Strong oral and written communications skills * CISSP and C|EH * Detail-oriented * Project management experience * Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office * Organized, productive problem solver * Able to work in teams in a dynamic environment
Preferred Experience / Skills:
* Reviewing and assessing system level risks, test plans, and technical reports * Evaluating project requirements and providing assessments and recommendations * Demonstrated expertise in preparing and providing observations, analysis and recommendations in reports - oral or written * Familiarity with space launch, orbit, sustainment; test and evaluation, software and hardware acquisition and development * Identifying and assessing alternatives for achieving space enterprise capabilities (levels of solution from the full requirements compliance to the minimum acceptable capability), technical alternatives, alternative architectures * Satellite TT&C experience
