Job Description

CACI's National & Cyber Solutions business group has immediate career opportunities in Northern, VA for all levels of Communications Engineers (Digital Signals Processing, DSP, Electrical Engineering) on our Digital Signals Processing team in our Sterling, VA corporate offices. CACI Communications Engineers work collaboratively with peers to solve complex problems for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. As a CACI Engineer you will be presented with challenging requirements that require extreme skill, technical focus, and a can-do attitude. Communications Engineers also identify and participate in company funded independent research and development (IRaD) projects. RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Communication Engineer will:

  • Design, develop software and algorithms, debug, and test signal processing systems running on a variety of platforms.
  • Work with our product development team to develop concepts, identify creative solutions to customer requirements and assess feasibility of these solutions.
  • Support the design, build, and delivery of QRC signal processing systems.
  • Help with Receiver architectures, Software channelization, Modulation/demodulation, Spectral analysis activities

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in EE, CE, or an equivalent combination of educational background and directly related experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Digital Signals Processing and/or Software Development
  • Experience programming skills in at least one of the following: C, C++, Python, or Java.
  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) systems and test equipment (such as: spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, or signal generator) in support of projects and/or Senior Technical staff activities
  • Experience with Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems including receiver architectures, software channelization, modulation/demodulation techniques, spectral analysis, error correcting codes

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with X-Midas, MATLAB, and/or GNU Radio
  • Experience with all or multiple phases of product development life cycle (IE: concept, design, implementation, test, production, delivery, training, and remote support).

UNIQUE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face.
  • Physical capability to manipulate server, workstation, test equipment, etc. weighing up to 65 lbs.
  • Possible occasional travel (1-2 weeks) to assist in conducting hands-on equipment testing and field evaluation

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI clearance, and sit for a CI Polygraph (if customer requires). We are able to sponsor and upgrade security clearances.
