The IT Operations Center Support Engineer will require a Top Secret Clearance. They will have a strong background operating Network Operation Center servers and virtual servers per DoD Net Ops governance and procedures. This role includes operating the operations help desk with direct interaction to the customer. Candidate should be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of managing servers and virtual environments. Ability to perform tasks under minimal supervision. Works independently with limited supervision.

Provide operations support, daily coordination and system optimization; monitor the status of the networked systems and backup capabilities across all locations .
Use available diagnostic tools to analyze and troubleshoot network server environment to identify potential problems.
Maintain close and professional liaison with customer personnel to provide technical advice and perform services as required
Act as a liaison with the customer through effective and professional written and or verbal communication to positively represent the company
Meet IA workforce requirements defined in United States Department of Defense (US DoD) Directive 8570.01-M.

Responds to inquiries, requests for assistance, and/or trouble tickets regarding network issues
Operates Help Desk. Records problems to Help Desk database when events or incidents occur to ensure corrective actions are captured and incidents resolved in a timely manner.
Monitor RF resources and performance Line of Sight and SATCOM systems
Monitor/respond to System Events/Alerts/Logs (for incident response, troubleshooting, and archival) Observes and interprets computer and network system messages to ensure computer commands are immediately addressed and that computer systems are restored quickly when hardware, software, or power failures occur
Performs preventative maintenance: Analyzes and troubleshoots computer and network system health and status to identify potential problems and develop solutions before outages occur, using diagnostic tools
During Post Mission, Review mission performance trends, provide appropriate communication status reports, daily activity reports, RF performance statistics and maintain the Master Station Log
Maintain logs for evaluation and trend detection
Coordinate Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI) schedules and ASI execution.
Install, perform checks, operate, repair and maintain assigned equipment at customer installation(s)
Documents system infrastructure equipment for Asset, Configuration, and Change Management
Tests and deploys patches and updates to infrastructure systems to ensure assurance of network and compliance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA's) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements
Support engineering to develop on site operation and maintenance documentation
Implement and update procedures to perform or request maintenance actions to return equipment and systems to service as needed to support ongoing operations
Conducts testing of network design
Updates the IP address databases and domain name services (DNS) to enable IP connectivity
Modify assigned equipment with authorized upgrades, and perform temporary modifications to extend continued operation until maintenance can be performed
Participate in field installations, upgrades, demonstrations and deployments
Monitor and maintain COMSEC / TRANSEC equipment and keying material
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Clearance: Top Secret clearance with eligibility to SCI
Experience: 2+ years in military/DOD network or communications operations. Other applicable communications and networking experience/degrees may be considered in lieu of DOD/military experience.
Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of related work experience.
Must be willing/able to travel to an alternate work location, if required, to maintain essential mission functions in the event of a system disruption, compromise, or system failure
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Preferred: IAT Level 1 per DoD 8570 (A+ CE, CCNA Security, Network+ CE, or SSCP) and ITIL Foundation Level.
Preference will be given to candidates with certifications that apply to IAT Level 2/3 and those with computing environment certifications such as MSCA/MSCE, RHCSA/RHCE,CCNA/CCNE, HBSS, and VCP.
