Smartronix, Inc., is an information technology and engineering solutions provider specializing in Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Health IT, Network Operations, and Mission-Focused Engineering.
Smartronix is seeking a Security Specialist who will report to the company's Facility Security Officer (FSO) and administering the day-to-day security procedures and processes that support multiple Smartronix locations and 700 employees. This is a great opportunity for an FSO of a company with approximately 300 employees who is ready to move to a larger organization (700 employees) with complex security requirements to increase their security knowledge while applying their current knowledge, skills, and abilities.
The following position duties include:
Coordinate personnel security clearance requirements with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and various government entities.
Develop and deliver required security awareness education for un-cleared employees.
Develop and deliver required security awareness education for cleared employees to include initial security briefings and annual refresher training.
prepare and maintain records for DSS reviews/assessments/audits, conduct and document government required self-inspections/assessments, and assist with any corrective actions required.
Interact with DSS Industrial Security and Counter Intelligence Representatives.
Conduct security in-briefing for all new hires and consultants.
Utilize the Access Control System to generate badges for employees, contractors and visitors.
Conduct briefing and debriefing for all staff engaging in foreign travel.
Administration and processing of incoming/outgoing visit requests.
Maintain all security documentation and files accurately and in accordance with requirements.
Conduct and document investigations, security violations and compromises of classified information.
Operate and maintain of Access Control Systems.
Responsible for directly or indirectly implementing, monitoring/auditing, and reporting compliance with security controls.
Process employees for Common Access Cards.
Complete SAAR-Ns as required
Conduct NATO Briefings/De-briefings
Conduct Courier Briefings
Conduct Foreign Travel Briefings/De-briefings
Conduct security indoctrinations, briefings, debriefings and security education.
Work with the Contracts Department to ensure compliance with prime and subcontract security requirements.
Prepare subcontractor DD254s to flow down security requirements.
Maintain security containers and classified material accountability.
Create and maintain security documentation.
Provide security related training and guidance.
Create and maintain personnel security folders.
Provide support as necessary for NIST 800-171 – Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information for Nonfederal Systems and Organizations.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating manual (NISPOM), personnel security and adjudicative guidelines, Director, Central Intelligence Directives (DCID)
Knowledge of COMSEC
Experience with Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), e-QIP (electronic SF86), SWFT, DIAS, ISFD, e-FCL and other security forms and security management databases.
Experience in conducting Audit of Government Furnished Equipment
