EUR NEG Cyber security professional The Candidate We are seeking a highly experienced cyber security professional to support NATO NCIA. The ideal security professional for this role will be experienced in security architectures as well as in security testing. Having applied cyber security policies both in terms of software and hardware you will be aware of how to apply them in order to provide mission assurance across the enterprise. The role Role responsibilities: + Manage, configure and deploy Network Security related systems, Network Security appliances and associated management software; + Configure and manage Host Based Intrusion Detection and/or Prevention Systems (H-IDS/H-IPS); + Configure and manage On-line Vulnerability Management Systems (Online VM); + Configure and manage Full Packet Capture (FPC) devices; + Configure and manage Network Based Intrusion Detection and/or Prevention Systems (NIIDS/NIPS); + Review and recommend improvements to the quality of documentation and products as related to cyber security activities; + Assist in developing documentation and guides for the implementation of new capabilities; + Provide periodic reporting on cyber security activities, outlining incidents, trends and recent cyber security activities; + Conduct policy reviews as directed, ensuring that organisational guidance with respect to CIS Security is appropriately reflected; + Educate users on the principles of CIS Security and end user device security; + Support the development and maintenance of technical cyber security NATO Directive and Guidance documents; + Develop security accreditation strategies; provide guidance and support on security accreditation and re-accreditation activities; + Review and provide technical assessment of documentation supporting the security accreditation process; + Review cyber security overarching (high level) architectures and target architectures ensuring compliance to security policies and architectural coherence among projects and systems; The company

The opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced cyber security professional to work within a critical, high-profile role within a global defence organisation. The successful applicant will be a trusted resource to shape and guide cyber security activities across the enterprise. The location of this role will be in Mons (Belgium) working directly for MCR, so would suit those already situated there or willing to relocate/commute. Minimum Requirements + Bachelor of Science degree in Security Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or closely related field; + Noteworthy demonstrated experience in business continuity, computer forensics, network security, incident management, end user device security guidance, and training / new equipment implementation guides: + Knowledge in the following areas: o Malicious activity detection; o Cyber security decision support (to include attack recovery); o Risk assessment / risk management approaches; o Trustworthiness assessments such as common criteria; + Experience in the following areas: o Cyber security concept development and validation; o Cyber security architecture development; o Requirements management and system design of cyber security systems; + Familiar with the application of risk assessment methodologies; + Experience with assessment of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and application of risk management; + Must be fluent in the English language (reading, writing, listening and speaking); + Ability to obtain NATO Cosmic Top Secret Security Clearance; + Citizen of one of the 29 NATO member nations; + Must meet eligibility requirements to work and reside in The Netherlands;
Non-essential Requirements + Master of Science degree in Security Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or closely related field is highly desired + A recognised credential in Information Assurance (e.g., CISSP) is highly desired; + Knowledge of NATO and other International Cyber Security Policies and Directives; + Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements + Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organisation, including ACO and ACT
