MVM, Inc. â a leading provider of professional, technical, administrative, and program management support services to the Federal Government â is creating a pipeline of Lead Case Managers that would be interested in provisional commitment projects anywhere in the US with other highly capable team members tasked with providing care to Unaccompanied Children (UC) in a limited duration shelter dependent on the request from The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).
Lead Case Managers oversee a team of Case Managers, while they coordinate family reunification services for children ages 13 to 17 who have been placed in temporary shelter care by ORR. As the main point of contact for their team; LCMâs hold daily sessions with Case Managers to check on caseload progress, discuss any policy changes, and answer questions. Leads ensure that ORR policies and procedures are met and monitor the compliance and metrics of their team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Ensure case management and family reunification services for the unaccompanied children are completed in a timely manner.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Provide additional support for difficult cases and discharges that are going over the 30-day period.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Maintain and audit UAC case files and the UAC Portal in accordance with ORR policies and procedures.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Serve as the main point-of-contact for a group of CM and Case Aides.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Meet with Federal Field Specialists on a weekly basis to discuss trends and potential training needs.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Must have previous experience as a Case Manager in an ORR Shelter.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Bachelorâs degree in Social Work or an equivalent degree in Psychology, Sociology or other relevant Behavioral Science.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Two (2) or more years of general supervisory or management experience.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Pass fingerprint-based criminal background check
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Pass Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) check
Depending on the shelter location requested by ORR, MVM, Inc. may offer extended travel. Extended travel typically requires a commitment of a minimum of 30 to 90 days. Travel expenses will be paid according to Federal Travel Regulations. Locations may include, but are not limited to, New Mexico, California, Texas, and Arizona.
