The Candidate
We are seeking an Integrated Logistics Systems (ILS) Engineer. The ideal ILS professional for this key role will have experience of working on projects for NATO, the MoD, civil service or wider armed forces.
The role
Role responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain the Core GIS Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP) tailored to the Project Program phases
* Ensure compatibility between the ILS management documentation and the System Management Plan by providing the ILS relevant inputs for the System Management Plan
* Develop and maintain the Core GIS Maintenance and Support Concept that defines the maintenance and support environment, constraints, locations, procedures, artifacts, organis4ation and personnel skills to maintain the delivered baselines of the GIS platform
* Develop and maintain the Core GIS Supply Support Plan.
* Develop and maintain the Core GIS Operation and Maintenance Task analysis
* Develop Core GIS Technical Documentation
* Coordinate system user training

The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ILS Engineer to work within a high-profile role. As an integral member of the team, the incumbent will be responsible for the enhancement, upgrade and support the NATO Core Geographical Information System (Core GIS) providing services and supply to design; develop, test, deploy, and provide life-cycle support including training for NATO's Core GIS Increment 3 capability. The project itself will run for 3-4 years, which means that the incumbent will become very much part of the MCR delivery team. The location of this role will be initially at any MCR office across Europe. There is also potential for working from home. When the software is ready for roll out, travel across Europe to support the transition is expected.
Minimum Requirements
* Degree or equivalent work experience
* Extensive experience of working in supply and support of information systems.
* Experience in software roll-out
* Experienced in support of distributed systems in more than one NATO nation.
* Ability to obtain NATO Security Clearance
* Citizen of NATO
* Must be able to travel independently to NATO locations
Non-essential requirements
* Geographical Information System (GIS) experience
