CSRA provides technical support services to the Office of Acquisition (OA) of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the nation-s largest law enforcement agency. Experienced CSRA personnel enhance CBP-s proficiencies in Systems Engineering, Logistics & Sustainment, and Capabilities and Requirements Development to provide CBP-s agents along our borders with the most capable systems which can affordably be procured. The team provides engineering and analytical expertise across a wide range of disciplines, meeting all DHS Systems Engineering Life Cycle mandated planning analysis and documentation; provide a full spectrum of Integrated Logistics Support; development of Operational Requirements; and conduct Operational Test & Evaluation activities. We help CBP procure the equipment and technology needed to keep the border safe and secure.
Currently, we are seeking an Operational Research Advisor in Crystal City, VA. The selected candidate must currently hold or be able to obtain a CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance, per contract requirements.
So what is required of a on an Operational Research Advisor-s day to day basis? There are quite a myriad of tasks and responsibilities, such as:
* Analyzes actual and predictable interacting operational activities of business to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making through the application of logic and scientific or economic disciplines and techniques. * Performs as part of a team of Operational Requirements Analysts conducting mission focused capability analysis, and developing operational requirement products in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). * Leads development of capability and requirements analysis products in accordance with CBP guidance, priorities, and standards.

To qualify, you must meet these basic qualifications:
* Must be a US citizen. * US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) suitability clearance (BI), DHS full clearance or TS/SCI * Requires BS or equivalent +9 years- experience, or MS + years related experience as an operations research analyst within the federal government or industry. * 3-7 years- experience managing operations research activities, leading/conducting analyses of large data sets, proficiency in operations research techniques * Accomplished facilitator, briefer, and presenter of analytical results (written or oral) to senior leadership (Military, DHS, Industry). * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (2013).
Other qualifications include:
* Experience as an operations research analyst in support of test and evaluation within the federal government, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or Department of Defense (DoD). * Experience working with or under the oversight of the DoD or DHS Director of Test and Evaluation (DOT&E). * Certified (DAWIA or DHS) level II or above (T&E, SE or equivalent) * Proficient with analytical tools, such as SAS, SPSS, MatLab, C-Plex
