Engility is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our talented team in our Chantilly, VA office. The ideal candidate shall provide knowledgeable support of federal government contracts. This includes activities related to the life cycle of the contract/task order as a prime and subcontractor, from the initial proposal phase, through award and contract performance, to close out.

Key responsibilities are :

  • Lead all contracting and proposal activities for assigned portfolio ensuring adherence to processes, procedures, company policy, FAR/DFAR, and legal/ethical requirements
  • Maintain working relationships with program and customer personnel, teammates, and other departments, in order to be cognizant of all project operations under the contract, and coordinate with project management staff in the day to day functions of the contract to ensure contract compliance and performance
  • Participate in the development of bid strategies and coordinate efforts to support winning proposals
  • Ensure contract team members provide timely support to proposal team by reviewing the solicitation, identifying questions, concerns or ambiguities and taking appropriate action
  • Lead the development of effective cost and offer volumes, and develop intellectual property and organizational conflict of interest (OCI) plans as required
  • For assigned efforts, draft, negotiate and finalize contract documentation to ensure consistency with the solicitation, proposal, and regulatory requirements


Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
  • 4-7 years' experience in Federal Government Contracting Administration, including Department of Defense
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Able to obtain a security clearance. US Citizenship is required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to perform effectively within aggressive deadlines.
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and related federal and state legislation and regulations.
  • Ability to recognize, interpret and apply applicable regulations to resolve complex issues.
  • Establish and maintain excellent internal and external customer relations at all levels of the organization, acting as liaison with customers' buying official for all proposal or contract matters, communicating status and resolving open contract matters frequently with program managers, and contract director.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to independently negotiate terms and conditions, scope, cost and price of government contracts and subcontracts at assigned thresholds.
  • Strong communication skills to include effective written, listening and interpersonal skills, approachability, and ability to build and maintain internal/external relationships.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
  • Effectively meet responsibilities in a highly interactive team environment and able to work well under pressure, multi-task, and deliver on multiple priorities while producing work of the highest caliber.
