Systems Engineer
Responsible for performing multiple enterprise Systems Engineering activities, to include design analyses, trade studies, operational concept definition, use case development, requirements derivation and traceability, cost-benefit and life cycle cost analyses (including Cost-as-an-Independent Variable (CAIV)),project planning and estimation, risk analyses, performance modeling and simulation, system build planning, vendor bill of materials coordination, supporting system test planning, systems engineering process improvement, security engineering analysis, and specialty engineering. Position requires the ability to develop recommended solutions to technical problems. The Systems Engineer will also be responsible for the technical leadership of projects and risks within a dynamic environment, interfacing with the Project Management Office personnel to ensure adherence to budget and integrated schedules. The Systems Engineer must work with and within a matrix organization.

• B.S. Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related Engineering discipline
• U.S. citizenship
• DoD Secret security clearance
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Grade determined based on years of experience with:
• Systems Engineering life cycle
• Systems analysis and design experience, to include virtualization technologies
• Software fundamentals and technologies experience
• Security engineering experience to include STIG, SRR, NIST familiarity, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT) or its predecessor (DIACAP)
• Server, storage, database, and networking technologies design and integration experience
• UNIX (Solaris, AIX, or Linux) server operating system experience
• Working with customers to document and derive system level technical requirements
• Leadership and teaming skills
• Master’s degree in related engineering field
• Systems architecture development experience
• Familiarity with Agile software development processes
• CMMI, AS 9100 or ISO 9001 process development experience
• Previous system administration or software engineering experience
• Leadership experience with large and small project implementations
• Active Top Secret security clearance
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization experience
• Experience working onsite at a customer’s facility with daily customer interactions
• Demonstrated ability to innovate and proactively adapt to change
