JOB TITLE: Avionics Integration Engineering Support


PROJECT OVERVIEW:


The Air Force Program Executive Officer for ISR & SOF (AFLCMC/WI) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility for equipping ISR & SOF warfighters to dominate the battlespace. In order to meet current and projected workload requirements in support of AFLCMC/WI, the Government must augment its organic (military and civil service) capabilities within the Global Hawk Division (AFLCMC/WIG) with Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support.


JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Plan and implement integrated product and process development using the current acquisition strategy to provide incremental capability deliveries to the war fighter related to flight and mission critical Airborne Sense and Avoid (ASAA) Systems, associated Communications, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) Systems, and Air Traffic Management (ATM) Systems in support of the Global Hawk system including the air vehicle, payloads, ground segment, and mission planning elements

  • Develop, review and evaluate Global Hawk ASAA plans and compliance to Federal and Military regulations

  • Review and monitor the Global Hawk Integrated Functional Capabilities, Global Hawk Capability Development Document, and the maturation of SAA requirements for significant program milestones to include, but not limited to, all Global Hawk system configurations

  • Review/analyze/evaluate requirements and ASAA documentation including the resultant specifications and ICD

  • Review and analyze ASAA design solutions and support definition of test requirements.

  • Review and evaluate ASAA development, testing and implementation

  • Review, monitor, and evaluate the Global Hawk ASAA processes

  • Support test and operational deployments; evaluate and recommend corrective actions for operational deployment lessons learned, deficiencies, and opportunities

  • Support Global Hawk system security certification and accreditation activities

  • Plan and prepare contract documents and support the Government in contract definitizations related to SAA development for new capabilities on Global Hawk, to include reviewing and evaluating engineering change proposals for adequacy in meeting government performance, cost, and schedule requirements

  • Perform technical studies to include, but not limited to, performance, effectiveness, cost performance, life-cycle cost, reliability, maintainability, and supportability

  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans

  • Assist in overseeing and coordinating frequency allocation and spectrum management

  • Evaluate and report on ASAA related IMP/IMS




REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


Security Clearance: Top Secret



  • Education and years of experience:

    • Ten (10) years of experience in functional area plus a relevant Master’s degree OR

    • Fourteen (14) years of experience in functional area plus a Bachelor’s degree OR

    • Eighteen (18) years of experience in functional area with no degree

    • At least five years of any Senior’s experience must have been performed on DoD programs/projects

    • Must possess a current top secret clearance with SSBI




DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Graduate degree in related field

  • Experience with remotely piloted air vehicles

  • Major Defense Acquisition Program experience

  • Air Force program office experience

  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Level III certification
