Mayvin® is currently seeking experienced applicants for a Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Technical Writer/Editor that will support Naval Special Warfare Group TEN (NSWG-10). This position will be located on Joint Expeditionary Base–Little Creek, VA. The primary objective of this effort is to obtain contracted technical writing and editing support for the NSWG-10 Information Systems Security Manager which will assist with the overall command's operational readiness.
You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered. Current Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI required.
This position is contingent on contract award.
Provide technical writing and editing support for NSWG-10 Information Systems Security Manager.
Edit existing and new infrastructure, compliance, procedures, and requirements documentation.
Gather materials for the development or modification of cybersecurity program plans and requirements.
Prepare and update plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operating procedures concerning the security of network system(s) operations.
Prepare technical documents, summaries, and other situational awareness information.
Continuously review updated policies, guidelines, procedures, regulations to ensure compliance with applicable guidance documentation.
Draft statements of preliminary or residual security risks for system operation.
Prepare and maintain information systems assurance and accreditation materials.
Draft authorization and assurance documents for each software application, system, and network.
Minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution is preferred but not required.
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Current Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/ SCI required.
Minimum of five plus years of experience in development of policy and procedures related to Information Systems Management, Configuration Management, Network Administration.
Must have working knowledge of DoD Directive 8500.01 Cyber Security 14 Mar 2014, DoD Instruction 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF) 12 Mar 2014, NIST 800 Series related to RMF, and any other DoD, DoN, CJCS, USSOCOM applicable policy and requirement documentation.
Position requires knowledge of Security Assessment and Authorization process, skill in designing security controls based on IA principles and tenets, and knowledge of IA principles and organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
Position requires familiarity and experience in drafting documents IAW Navy Correspondence Manual.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office product suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
Ability to adapt to changing environments and scenarios with limited supervision.
Attention to detail, highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to present information logically and consistently.
