The Spectral Analyst will provide non-literal GEOINT support at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson AFB. The candidate will join the Passive Sensor team and shall perform analysis of multispectral imagery (MSI) and hyperspectral imagery (HSI) to include processing/analyzing data and produce intelligence reports based on research and findings in the data. The candidate will coordinate with other intelligence analysts and agencies outside of the spectral discipline, and produce single source reports or contribute to integrated reports to support key customer requirements. The analyst will disseminate products via export to web pages, databases, and direct transmission to mission customers with the published product accessible to the entire Intelligence Community.
Perform in-depth non-literal spectral imagery and geospatial data exploitation to solve strategic intelligence problems using forensic techniques. Demonstrate understanding of atmospheric effects on spectral radiance data and the process to convert data to reflectance for proper in-depth analysis Understand and apply various transforms and algorithms addressing Anomaly Detection, Target Detection/Material Identification, Spectral Matching on various sensor data in the VNIR/SWIR regions of the EM Spectrum to solve complex intelligence problems Earn USAF NASIC certifications in HSI and MSI Perform research on targets of interest to support background and relevance of report Write detailed technical intelligence reports meeting ODNI Analytical Standards Produce quality graphics meeting NASIC standards to demonstrate relevant findings in the data Receive constructive feedback from IAI Team Lead and Government Leads during Quality Control Review cycle and make changes accordingly Perform Peer Reviews on analysts' final intelligence reports and graphics once certified Prepare and present briefings to NASIC and Government personnel Update internal report tracking metrics for analysis Work independently and in a team environment Day shift is preferred
2+ years' experience as a GEOINT Imagery analyst, Spectral preferred Demonstrated knowledge with Military intelligence support Experience with ENVI & SOCET GXP; other GEOINT tools a plus Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong oral and written communication skills Strong technical writing and briefing skills BA or BS in a technical field, or two years of college/technical training with 5 years' experience processing and exploiting remote sensing data
Security Requirements: Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
