Overview:  

MDA Information Systems LLC has an immediate opening for a full-time Data Engineer/Analyst in Dayton, OH. This is a full-time customer-site position providing support to a US Government agency

The Company:   MDA Information Systems LLC is a major supplier of weather information and geospatial intelligence. The firm serves a diverse client base including commercial and governmental organizations in agriculture, energy, defense, and civilian government.

MDA is an industry leader in earth observation remote sensing technology and image processing. We build satellite ground systems that enable users to acquire and process imagery form the most sophisticated Earth-observing satellites in the world: much of the satellite imagery that you see on Google Maps was generated by our software!

To be qualified, candidate must be a US Citizen and have an active TS/SCI security clearance. Candidate must also be able to pass a CI Polygraph within 1 month of starting employment.

General Summary
* Full-time customer-site position providing data analysis support to a US Government agency. The candidate will act as a lead analyst managing the processing and exploitation of data from multiple R&D infrared sensors
* Candidate will integrate with NASIC MASINT Analysis Squadron and Flight Characterization Group and act as an on-site liaison for all customer projects
* Candidate will need to develop an understanding of the underlying phenomenology of the targets of interest as well as the design of the sensor.

Responsibilities:  

Essential Functions
* Explore innovative imagery and tracking analysis techniques against customer data
* Develop software code in an R&D environment to enhance imagery analysis techniques or data fusion with other assets
* Design and build prototype code when necessary for special processing of infrared imagery, signature or tracking data.
* Perform product dissemination, gather user feedback, and handle security challenges.
* Interact with NASIC analysts to master the processing and analysis software used for other established infrared sensor systems.

Qualifications:  

Required Qualifications
* Active TS/SCI security clearance. Must also be able to pass a CI Polygraph within one month of starting employment.
* A B.S. in physics, electrical or aerospace engineering
* Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience
* Proficient with MATLAB, MODTRAN, Palette and Opticks software
* Experience with database management and web development
* Experience supporting technical collection sensor system research and development
* Experience with processing and analysis of OPIR, COBRA BALL and/or other infrared system data
