Job Description
NexGen Data Systems is seeking an Enterprise Infrastructure Technical Project Lead to plan and direct complex DLA infrastructure, application, SecureView, cloud, and emerging-technology implementations.
This role will perform feasibility analysis, requirements definition, sizing, cost estimation, resource forecasting, schedule development, technical direction, implementation coordination, Government briefings, go-live management, and post-deployment lessons learned.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Lead initial technical analysis for new infrastructure, application, SecureView, cloud, and emerging-technology requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies and define scope, objectives, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, task lists, and project durations.
• Prepare system sizing, cost estimates, resource estimates, technical requirements, and critical computer resource recommendations.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, implementation schedules, milestones, and responsible-owner assignments.
• Direct technical work performed by application, system, network, cybersecurity, cloud, vendor, and support personnel.
• Coordinate project execution with the Task Order Project Manager, Government representatives, users, vendors, and supporting DLA organizations.
• Prepare and deliver project briefings, technical presentations, implementation updates, and decision-support products.
• Coordinate go-live activities for emerging technologies and new enterprise installations.
• Confirm readiness of staffing, equipment, software, access, change approvals, testing, documentation, support plans, and rollback procedures.
• Monitor execution and resolve technical, schedule, resource, or dependency issues that could affect deployment.
• Capture lessons learned following major deployments and document technical problems, resolutions, and recommended process improvements.
• Support project status reporting and provide accurate schedule, risk, resource, and implementation data.
• Transfer active project files, schedules, feasibility studies, deployment histories, and lessons learned during transition-out.

Desired/Required Skills:
• Place of Performance: Full-time off-site position with periodic travel or meeting support at DLA locations as required.
• Clearance Required: Active Department of Defense Secret clearance required.
• Investigation / Position Sensitivity: Critical Sensitive / IT-I position requiring a favorable Tier 5 investigation when privileged access is assigned.
• Required Cyber Baseline Certification: IAT Level III certification required when privileged access is assigned.
• Required Computing Environment Certification: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert Windows Server 2016, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or current DLA-approved equivalent.
• Required DoD 8140 Qualification: Must meet applicable DoD cyberspace workforce qualification requirements before performing assigned duties.
• Required Education: BA/BS in a technical discipline with at least 10 years of specialized experience. (Specialized experience is defined as progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, where the majority are specialized in numerous specialized Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions, at least four years of which are concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software.
• Required Experience: Minimum seven years of progressive information processing or systems administration experience.
• Specialized Experience: At least six years supporting specialized hardware, software, network, application, or infrastructure disciplines.
• Hands-On Experience: At least four years installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with enterprise software or infrastructure.
• Required Project Experience: Experience developing project plans, cost and size estimates, resource forecasts, schedules, implementation plans, and technical briefings.
• Required Technical Leadership Experience: Experience directing technical teams during enterprise installations, migrations, upgrades, or go-live events.
• Desired Skills: Windows Server, Azure, infrastructure architecture, application deployment, project scheduling, risk management, vendor coordination, and DLA change management.
