Required Skills & Experience
-5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 3 years with a Master’s degree; 0 years with a PhD or Juris Doctor; or 9 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent
-Experience with, or academic exposure to, the development and evaluation of threat-based concepts
-Experience supporting analytical studies related to military operations
-Familiarity with modeling and simulation techniques used to build, test, and evaluate analytical models
-Knowledge of statistical analysis methods to identify key variables and understand relationships within complex datasets
-Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured analytical documents
-Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
-Ability to contribute to analytical efforts, coordinate with team members, and operate effectively in a collaborative environment
-Ability to work with government and contractor stakeholders to define problems, clarify objectives, and support solution development
-Ability to work within secure or confined facilities as required
-Active TS/SCI clearance and eligibility for Special Access Program (SAP) access

Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Operations Research Analyst (ORSA) to support a federal program in Suffolk, VA. On a day-to-day basis, this individual will conduct analyses of the future operating environment and joint concepts using statistical methods, modeling, and trend assessment. They will support operational assessments by working through complex problems and contributing to data-driven recommendations. The role also includes assisting with the planning and execution of analytic events such as wargames and tabletop exercises, applying operations research methods, and developing clear analytical products like reports and briefings.
This role supports the Joint Staff J7 Futures and Concepts Division by applying data-driven analysis and operations research methods to assess future operating environments and joint concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
-Conduct analysis of the future operating environment and joint concepts using statistical analysis, modeling, and trend assessment
-Support operational assessments by examining complex problems and contributing to data-driven recommendations
-Assist in the design, planning, and execution of analytic events, including wargames and tabletop exercises (TTXs)
-Apply operations research methods, including stochastic models, forecasting tools, and database manipulation techniques
-Develop analytical products such as reports, memorandums, and presentations to communicate findings
-Provide technical support in operations research and systems analysis using quantitative and qualitative techniques
-Participate in and lead small teams or task areas as needed
-Travel as required to support program priorities
