Location: Englewood or Littleton, CO (Onsite Only)
Type of Role: Direct Hire (Full-Time, Onsite)
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off); onsite full-time, no teleworking
Pay: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 – $226,435; for states not referenced above, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Final offers consider the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market and business factors.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role is for a Lead ElectroMechanical Harness Engineer V responsible for the D5 Life Extension II program’s avionics harness designs. You will work onsite near the client’s space facility in Littleton or Englewood, Colorado on a flexible 9x80 schedule, leading electro?mechanical harness and cable design efforts, ensuring producible designs, and coordinating across analysis, manufacturing, and supplier teams for high?reliability space and missile applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Provide producible harness and cable designs that meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements while working within an Integrated Product Team environment.
Prepare all applicable drawings and documentation needed for the fabrication and assembly of the designed hardware.
Coordinate with thermal, dynamic, stress, reliability, EMC, and survivability analyses to assure compliant designs.
Support manufacturing and test disciplines in minimizing cycle time and resolving production problems.
Establish specifications for contract assemblers and raw?material vendors.
Interface with Parts Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing regarding material quality and vendor performance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
Experience in electro?mechanical engineering including wire harness/cable design.
Knowledge of cable manufacturing processes (connectors, crimping, soldering, forming, testing).
Experience with wire harness and interconnects design for avionics or other high?reliability applications.
8+ years of professional experience.
Prior Zuken experience.
Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience as a responsible product engineer or technical lead.
Experience with CREO CAD modeling and Zuken.
Hands?on hardware experience.
Active security clearance.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with technical teams, leadership, and suppliers.
