Location: Littleton or Englewood, CO (Onsite Only)

Type of Role: Direct Hire (Full-Time, Onsite)

Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)

Pay: $109,200–$192,510 (Colorado and listed states; final offer depends on experience, skills, and market factors)



POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced ElectroMechanical Harness Lead, Associate Manager to support the Fleet Ballistic Missile Avionics team. In this role, you will lead engineers developing 3D concept models of space flight avionics cable and harness systems and advance those designs for flight use, while also providing personnel leadership and functional management support.



RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Lead trade studies on cable and harness design approaches and provide technical input for informal and formal design reviews, documentation, and presentations.

• Provide technical and team leadership through requirements, development, production, and cross-functional product lifecycle coordination.

• Communicate technical status, issues, and resource needs to program, technical, and functional leadership, as well as external customers.

• Conduct personnel management activities for part of the FBM Avionics team, including recruitment, selection, training, performance assessments, work assignments, salary actions, and recognition or disciplinary support.

• Serve as FBM TMK2 Harness Lead over RF and general cabling.

• Develop cable designs, performance and test requirements, and stress and thermal analysis artifacts.

• Identify initial physical architecture for the avionics subsystem and support architecture and interface development throughout the program lifecycle.

• Generate and release design disclosure artifacts, including technical presentations and end-of-year reports.

• Participate in iterative design reviews, EMRB hardware discrepancy decisions, FRB activities, anomaly resolution, and system-level testing support.

• Work autonomously, deliver required work products, and remain accountable for milestone achievement at a high reporting standard.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent combined experience and education.

• Proven experience in electrical/mechanical engineering, including wire harness and cable design.

• Experience synthesizing requirements into cable and harness designs at different assembly levels.

• Experience with CAD design.

• 8+ years of professional experience.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.



ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of cable manufacturing processes including connectors, crimping, soldering, forming, and testing.

• Experience with RF cable design.

• Working knowledge of EPDM tools or equivalent systems.

• Exposure to DFx principles such as Design for Affordability and Design for Manufacturability.

• Experience with CREO CAD modeling and Zuken.

• Missile or aerospace industry experience.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with FBM specifications, procedures, customer partners, and tools such as QNotes, PMP Database, FAST Items, DaSI, and FBM Web.

• Previous CPE and MRB experience, subcontractor coordination experience, tolerance stack-up experience, and exposure to requalification activities such as MORAs and supplier relocations.

• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences, including participation in major design reviews.

• Hands-on hardware experience and strong collaboration skills across adjacent disciplines.
