Senior Cost Estimator (DISA Support)
Location: Falls Church, VA

Job Description:
Seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to support DISA in developing, analyzing, and defending cost estimates and financial plans across the acquisition lifecycle. This role combines cost estimating, financial management, and budget execution in direct support of Government stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and defend DoD cost estimates (LCCE, IGCE, ROMs, POM support) using approved models and WBS frameworks (MIL-STD-881).
- Create and maintain Cost Analysis Requirements Descriptions (CARD) aligned with DoD guidance and program documentation.
- Perform cost, schedule, and risk analysis, incorporating uncertainty and documenting assumptions and methodologies.
- Use DoD cost tools and databases (e.g., CADE) and normalize/analyze historical and contractor cost data.
- Prepare and present cost estimate briefings, reports, and reviews to senior government leadership.
- Manage and review MIPRs/7600Bs, funding logs, and financial documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Not looking for a budget-focused resource, but able to make recommendations and cost-benefit analyses to inform leadership decision-making.
- Track financial execution, monitor spending, and forecast future funding needs.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of DoD cost estimating and financial analysis experience.
- 5+ years supporting DoD budget/program execution offices.
- Proven experience developing defensible, repeatable cost estimates across the acquisition lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with CARD development and cost modeling.
- Strong knowledge of DoD cost estimating standards, WBS (MIL-STD-881), and POM process.
- Experience with MIPRs, budget execution, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and brief senior leaders.
- Proficiency with DoD financial systems (e.g., DAI preferred).
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and technical documentation.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Experience working in classified environments.

- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Relevant certifications (preferred): ICEAA, DAWIA, CDFM
