Site Coordinator (Eastern Region ONLY)
U.S. Department of Homeland Security
U.S. Customs and Border Protection
Place of Performance: U.S. Department of Homeland Security/ Customs and Border Patrol.
Period of Performance: One (1) Year Base Period with Four (4) Option Year Periods
Schedule: 8:00am-6:00pm, Monday through Friday, (position will be primarily remote with travel to and from the facilities 2-3 times per month, averaging between 2-4 weekdays).
Requirements:
Ability to communicate with high ranking Government Officials
Bachelor’s Degree required (Highly preferred in Business Administration or Human Resources)
Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Practical computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office applications such as MS Word and Excel
Ability to compose and handle routine correspondence
Excellent follow-up and organizational skills
Ability to Multi-Task
Ability to perform job duties independently
Ability to pass a pre-employment and periodic background checks
Ability to pass the internal pre-employment and periodic drug screens
Comfortable handling bodily fluids such as urine
Must be Bi-Lingual in English/Spanish (required)
Valid State Issued Driver’s License
Valid U.S. Passport (or the ability to obtain one)
Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Conduct on-site random drug testing of CBP employees in TDPs (Occasionally)
Coordinate with Government personnel in the assignment and prioritization of requested work
Coordinate the activities of, and provide oversight of, the collection contractor staff during the on-site collection process
Plan and reserve trips to the selected testing sites
Educate supervisors and employees concerning the federal DFWPs and applicable regulations, as required
Collect specimens in accordance with HHS Urine Specimen Collection Handbook
Ensure that the CCF is completed in compliance with HHS guidelines
Ensure that specimens and associated CCFs are shipped to CBPs designed laboratory within 24 hours of collection
Endure that the MRO copy of the CCFs and essential documents are shipped to the MRO within 24 hours of the collection
Report insufficient specimens and refusals to the COR and to the MRO, in accordance with HHS Mandatory Guidelines
Enter data obtained from the specimen collection and coordination into HRM computer systems
Ensure that all laptops are password protected and stored in a secure location
Testify in court proceedings to support the government when required
Maintain the confidentiality of Federal Employees’ Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and report all breaches or unauthorized disclosure of such to the appropriate CBP officials
Attend monthly meetings called by CBP Officials at on-site locations and or via teleconference
