• 8+ years of experience in cloud operations or infrastructure management
• 3+ years of people or team leadership experience
• Expert knowledge of AWS cloud services and architecture
• Experience managing rapid provisioning and decommissioning of cloud environments
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and incident response operations
• Experience supporting 24/7 operational or mission critical environments
• Excellent communication skills with ability to brief senior government leadership
• Proven ability to operate under pressure and meet critical operational timelines
Plusses
• Experience supporting federal government programs
• Background in cybersecurity operations or threat hunting
• Experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure as code
• Experience managing software licensing and cloud cost controls
• AWS Solutions Architect or similar cloud certification
• PMP
Day to Day Responsibilities
Insight Global is currently seeking a Cloud Operations Manager to join a client in the federal cybersecurity and government services industry supporting rapid cyber incident response and threat hunting operations. This individual will lead end to end management of secure cloud engagement kits, ensuring rapid provisioning, stability, and timely decommissioning following mission completion. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with engagement leads, analysts, and federal stakeholders to align cloud operations with mission requirements. The manager will oversee troubleshooting and incident response for cloud infrastructure issues and ensure hardened, compliant configurations are maintained. This role produces operational status and performance reports, manages resource allocation and scaling, and oversees license and logistics coordination as needed. Additionally, the Cloud Operations Manager drives continuous improvement initiatives and serves as the primary operational liaison between technical teams and government leadership.
