Title: Test Engineer
Company: Nightwing
Location: Arlington, VA
Duration: 18 Months, potential to extend
Clearance: Secret, must be eligible to obtain TS/SCI
Must Haves
• Active Secret clearance; must be able to obtain TS/SCI
• Ability to obtain DHS Suitability
• 6+ years of directly relevant experience, preferably in an Agile environment
• 2+ years of automated and/or manual testing experience
• Strong experience with Agile CI/CD practices
• Hands-on experience with automated test tools such as Docker, Jenkins, JIRA, Git, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, JUnit, JMeter, RSpec, Cucumber, or similar
• 2+ years of software development experience using Java, Cucumber, Gherkin, or similar languages
• Experience with test planning, execution, and test procedure development
• Experience with systems engineering and configuration management processes
• Ability to plan, conduct, and support security testing
• Strong test documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across agile teams, customers, and agencies
Plusses
• Experience with automated and manual testing processes
• Hands-on DevOps or DevSecOps experience
• Familiarity with CISA cybersecurity best practices
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-218 Secure Software Development Framework
• Experience with Selenium, Puppeteer, Cypress, Playwright, WebDriverIO, or NightwatchJS
• Experience with Java, Perl, Ruby, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience with SQL, Oracle, MySQL, JDBC, or NoSQL databases
• DHS program experience

Day to Day Responsibilities
Insight Global is currently seeking a Test Engineer III to join a client in the federal cybersecurity and government services industry. This individual will define, plan, and execute testing efforts for large-scale, complex software and hardware systems supporting incident response missions. The role includes developing automated and manual test strategies, test plans, procedures, and reports to ensure system quality and compliance. The Test Engineer will participate in test readiness and design reviews while validating test integrity and execution. Daily responsibilities include analyzing test results, communicating findings to stakeholders, and documenting deviations from customer requirements. This individual will collaborate closely with development and systems engineering teams using Agile and SAFe-based frameworks. The role also supports security testing initiatives and continuous improvement across the testing lifecycle.
