The Work
This Design Support Specialist Stf. will be:
- Responsible for supporting various hardware engineering development programs through their design, fabrication, and test stages.
- This position involves an in-depth knowledge of LM policies and procedures for the handling & movement of classified hardware, material procurement, generation & answering of problem reports, etc.
- Responsible for generation of Material Handler Move Requests.
- Responsible for the expediting of delivery of parts/equipment from receiving department.
- Responsible for ordering & expediting parts purchased on direct POs.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining documents using desktop applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Project).
- Responsible for supporting engineers, team leaders, and managers in creating and maintaining documents, databases, and schedules within the design center.
- Responsible for interfacing effectively at all LM organizational levels including hourly employees, technicians, engineers, management, security, administrative assistants, maintenance personnel, IT personnel, as well as interfacing effectively with external vendors and customer representatives.
- Responsible for VLS production support, review and resolve issues in fabrication with Operations personnel, manage PR/ECNs.
- Responsible for assisting with obsolescence management, supplier quality issues, and second source evaluations.
Location: Moorestown, New Jersey
Security Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance prior to start.

Basic Qualifications:
- Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- Ability to read & interpret drawings and parts lists
- Experience with EPDM and the ability to navigate drawings and PLs
- Ability to use CREO models to assist production/engineering issues
- At least 10 years' experience of manufacturing experience, with at least 5 supporting Vertical Launching System manufacturing
- Production support and coordination between Operations and Engineering to resolve design/producibility issues
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level required prior to start.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
