The Field Service Technician IV is a highly experienced professional who provides top-tier technical support, maintenance, and repair services for advanced systems. This role requires exceptional diagnostic skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex field projects independently. The technician will also be responsible for developing comprehensive training programs and leading technical teams.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. Responsibilities:
- Execute top-tier maintenance and repair tasks on advanced aerospace and defense systems.
- Independently manage and oversee complex field service projects.
- Diagnose and resolve the most complex and challenging technical issues.
- Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to the entire field service team.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for customers and internal teams.
- Maintain precise and detailed records of all field activities and equipment status.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and industry regulations.
- Oversee and optimize inventory management for spare parts and tools.
- Produce and present detailed technical reports and insights to senior management.
- Travel extensively to customer locations, including international sites.

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience as a technician or in a related field.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
- Advanced understanding of troubleshooting techniques.
- Advanced electrical wiring skills.
- Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time.
- Prior experience with Linux and Java
- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required
- Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations
- Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
- Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
- Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
- Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
- Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with FCC or FCC GROL
- Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+
- Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pilot Static Equipment gauges
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Associate's degree in a related field of study.
- Experience with FCC or FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL).
- Prior experience with Security+, Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and/or A+.
- Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope, and/or Pilot Static equipment gauges.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
- Experience in leading and managing technical teams or large-scale projects.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills.

- Hand and finger dexterity to work with small mechanical components and tools.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials.

- Ability to read detailed technical manuals, schematics, and computer screens.
- Ability to inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems accurately.
- Ability to hear and understand spoken communication in noisy environments, such as industrial sites or construction areas.
- Ability to detect auditory signals from machinery or equipment, which may indicate issues.
- Ability to navigate various work environments, including climbing ladders, crawling in confined spaces, and working at heights.
- Ability to drive or operate a vehicle for frequent travel to customer locations.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, including repairs, installations, and maintenance.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
- Strong awareness of safety protocols and ability to adhere to safety guidelines in potentially hazardous environments.
