Job Description

Duties

  • You will assist with budget development, execution, forecasting, trending, analysis and detailed financial reporting on direct, and external funding.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring budget plans and execution, analyzing data, evaluating and interpreting findings, provide recommendations and presenting quality reports and analysis to the customer and senior analysts.
  • You will provide inputs to various data call requests.
  • You will receive, track, monitor, analyze, document, report, allocate, commit, reconcile, and maintain records of financial execution

  • This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26
Qualifications

DA-02:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least three years of general experience, one of which was at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band (DA-01) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions;
  • Plan and organize work; and
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing.

  • DA-03:
    Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band (DA-02) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

    1. Using intermediate Microsoft Excel skills to extract data from automated systems and format it into reports;
    2. Assisting with financial analysis and the evaluation of funding plans;
    3. Tracking funding, reviewing transactions, and reconciling accounts;
    4. Recommending financial data corrections; and
    5. Communicating effectively both orally and in writing..

    DA-02:
    Successful completion of a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree
    OR

    DA-03:
    Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
    OR
    Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
    OR
