Position Summary
ANSER is seeking a Information Technology (IT) Manager to lead the design, implementation, operation, and sustainment of mission-critical command-and-control IT infrastructure supporting Space Forces-Japan operations. You will be responsible for standing up and supporting headquarters, operations centers, and exercise environments while ensuring reliable and secure IT services across classified and unclassified networks. You will support mission readiness by delivering secure, resilient, and high-performing IT capabilities in dynamic operational environments.

Position Summary
ANSER is seeking a Information Technology (IT) Manager to lead the design, implementation, operation, and sustainment of mission-critical command-and-control IT infrastructure supporting Space Forces-Japan operations. You will be responsible for standing up and supporting headquarters, operations centers, and exercise environments while ensuring reliable and secure IT services across classified and unclassified networks. You will support mission readiness by delivering secure, resilient, and high-performing IT capabilities in dynamic operational environments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead communications and IT outfitting efforts for headquarters relocation and facility stand-up activities.
- Design, build, administer, and sustain secure and non-secure network environments.
- Execute installation, relocation, restoration, and modernization of IT systems and communications equipment.
- Perform system administration, configuration management, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Design and deploy IT infrastructure for operations centers, command posts, and mission workspaces.
- Engineer and support secure voice, video, and data services for operational missions and exercises.
- Manage the full lifecycle of exercise IT systems, including setup, hardening, operational support, and teardown.
- Provision and manage user accounts for permanent personnel and transient exercise participants.
- Ensure continuous operational readiness of IT systems during mission and exercise activities.
- Maintain accountability and lifecycle management for IT hardware and software assets.
- Support configuration control, compliance requirements, and technical documentation efforts.
- Coordinate technical requirements, approvals, and system integration activities with stakeholders.
- Provide end-user support for workstations, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and VTC systems.
- Deliver responsive IT support to senior leaders and headquarters staff.
- Train users and support personnel on systems, processes, and support procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience supporting secure enterprise, operational, or mission-critical IT environments.
- Hands-on experience supporting classified and unclassified networks, including NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, MPE, and/or bilateral environments.
- Experience standing up, relocating, or supporting command posts, operations centers, or mission-support IT infrastructure.
- Experience with IT asset accountability, inventory management, and lifecycle tracking.
- Experience supporting operational exercises, mission events, or high-tempo environments.
- Strong systems administration, troubleshooting, and end-user support experience.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with technical teams, operational stakeholders, and senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense, Space Force, Air Force, Joint, or Indo-Pacific missions.
- Experience supporting headquarters relocations, communications fit-outs, or facility activation efforts.
- Experience with cybersecurity compliance, accreditation activities, and RMF processes.
- Experience leading small technical teams while maintaining hands-on technical responsibilities.
- Experience supporting executive and senior leader communications requirements.
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
- CompTIA Network+ certification.
- CCNA or CCNP certification.
- CASP+ certification.
- CISSP certification.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- VMware, Microsoft, or other enterprise infrastructure certifications.
