The United States Space Force (USSF) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH is searching for a EURASIA Space Technologies and Industries Analyst to support NSIC (GG-0132-12).

Description:
The 3rd Intelligence Analysis Squadron at the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) is seeking a dynamic analyst to serve within the EUCOM/AFRICOM/CENTCOM Force Design Flight. This analyst will be primarily responsible for analyzing space/counterspace technologies, supply chains, trends impacting industrial base capacity and capability, technology transfer and acquisition. This role requires writing collaborative, integrated intelligence products and briefing your expertise to a diverse customer set across the policy, warfighting, and acquisition communities. The ability to effectively represent the Center at technology forums is expected, as is successful collaboration with individuals and offices both internal and external to NSIC (e.g. the IC, the US government, and foreign partners).

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidates possess: A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to forecast the impact of changing technology. Experience conducting analysis that balances high-risk disruptive innovations against stable, incremental technology upgrades. Professional knowledge of the concepts, principles, theories and practices involved in all-source space and/or counterspace intelligence analysis, foreign space and/or counterspace systems, defense industry RDA, futures analysis, emerging and disruptive technology (EDT) to include advanced computing and manufacturing, and/or resolving issues related to the analysis and predictive assessments of complex foreign space-based systems.

Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of intelligence community policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities and requirements to perform intelligence research and operations planning, collection, target analysis and/or other intelligence-related activities.
2. Knowledge of the principles, concepts and methodologies of intelligence operations, research, analysis and integration; and skill in analysis/production of reports and other products in response to the specific needs of customers to include formulating, gathering, organizing and analyzing information; resolving conflicts; and presenting clear and concise findings.
3. Skill in conducting unbiased, difficult research, identify appropriate available systems/data sources, and produce collections requirements assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities and to develop new methods, approaches, or procedures.
4. Skill in analysis and production of reports and other products that respond to specific needs of customers to include formulating, gathering, organizing and analyzing information; and presenting clear and concise findings.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations.

  • Must be a U.S Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret /SCI security clearance.
  • Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework".
  • This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
  • Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
  • PCS / relocation funding is authorized.
  • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year.
  • This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in generic science, intelligence analysis or a closely related discipline is desired.
  • Incumbent may be subject to psychological screening/polygraph testing as an inherent primary requirement of their position.
