Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Special Operations Policy Officer to support Office of the Under Secretary of War in Arlington, VA. We are seeking an individual with expertise developing policy and providing advisory support to DoD and intelligence community special operations. Details below:

Responsibilities:
- Analyze intelligence reports and operational updates to support informed decision-making and policy development.
- Conduct in-depth research on sensitive issues related to special operations forces and national security initiatives.
- Develop and delivered executive-level briefing materials for generals, senior Pentagon officials, and defense leadership.
- Review and evaluated policies to ensure special operations activities remained compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and DoD directives.
- Coordinate with military intelligence agencies, interagency partners, and government organizations to support mission objectives and policy alignment.
- Prepare strategic talking points, policy recommendations, and decision-support materials for senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
- Quickly respond to high-priority and time-sensitive requests, providing leadership with accurate information and actionable guidance under tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 3-6+ years of experience developing policy and supporting special operations
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
- 3-5+ years of experience supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF) and/or clandestine operations
- Strong understanding of intelligence operations, sensitive activities, and special operations mission sets
- Experience preparing executive-level briefings, background materials, and decision-support documentation
- Excellent analytical, organizational, written, & verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
- Experience supporting senior government or military leadership highly desired
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills across interagency and defense organizations
Compensation:
- Total compensation based on experience level - $115,000-$140,000
