Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support a cutting-edge company building modern, cloud-native satellite mission operations software.
This position is hybrid in Arvada, CO. The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) will lead end-to-end RMF execution for brand-new, classified Space Force systems hosted in AWS Secret Cloud. You will stand up a new system from scratch, drive ATO/IATT through Space Force AO and DCSA, and own security for next-generation satellite mission platforms.

Responsibilities for the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) include:
- Executing cradle-to-grave RMF Steps 1-6 for a new classified system in AWS Secret Cloud
- Developing and implementing security policies, controls, SSPs, and RMF artifacts aligned to CNSSI 1253, NIST 800-53, and Space Force overlays
- Supporting IATT/ATO packages with Space Force AO and DCSA, including eMASS entries and continuous monitoring
- Reviewing and interpreting SBOMs, container vulnerability scans, STIG checklists, and DevSecOps security outputs
- Collaborating with ISSM, FSO, DevSecOps, and system admins to ensure secure containerized space mission applications
Required Qualifications for the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) include:
- 5+ years of ISSO experience supporting Space Force AO and DCSA
- Experience standing up a brand-new RMF system from scratch and driving full authorization to ATO
- Hands-on experience with AWS Secret Cloud, container scanning, SBOMs, STIG hardening, and vulnerability management
- Strong knowledge of RMF, CNSSI 1253, NIST 800-53, overlays, system categorization, and secure network architecture
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
- Active SECRET Clearance required (TS/SCI preferred)
Compensation for the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) includes:
- Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
- Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick Leave (as required by law)
