What does this role look like?
Our Lockheed Martin Space Transformation team is seeking a visionary leader at the Senior Manager level to partner with the National Security Space (NSS) Line of Business (LOB) Global Securities (GS) leadership team to effectively manage the portfolio-badged SEIT staff with a particular focus on employing portfolio-level solutions for execution efficiency and cross-program alignment.
The selected candidate will:
• Actively manage and communicate with the LM program and Chief Engineering Teams.
• Work with SEIT IPT leadership to assign and manage resources for proper program execution.
• Work with other IPTs, such as bus, payload, ground, and software integration teams to assign SEIT resources to address SEIT scope in other WBS elements.
• Responsible for performance assessment, work assignments, salary planning, recognition, disciplinary actions, career development, and succession planning.
• Responsible for employee recruitment, requisitions, interviews, selections, on-boarding, training, and competency development.
• Partner across all responsible organizations to ensure timely delivery of commitments.
• Implement portfolio approach for functional areas such as requirements management, configuration and data management, mission operations planning and product development, launch vehicle integration, resiliency, special disciplines, risk and opportunity management and common product adoption.
• Support workforce planning/forecasting through assignments of direct personnel to funded and high potential work.
• Establish and foster cross-program communities of practice engagements in key discipline areas to leverage broader team across portfolio needs.
• Mentor new leaders in the organization
The position requires a high level of technical and business acumen to balance priorities, drive issue prevention/resolution, and clearly communicate status and needs to our customers and partners.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience supporting the System Engineering organization
• Experience leading technical teams and collaborating across peers
• Project/program management experience.
• Experience implementing System Engineering processes and command media
• Familiarity with programmatic cost and schedule.
• Top Secret Security clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI access
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated self-motivation with a compelling desire to make a positive impact and the organizational/motivational skills to make it happen
• Experience with Aerospace and Defense Program Finance, Contracts, or Earned Value Management including Control Account Manager (CAM) or leader of CAMs
• Experience in processes for Business Development and Proposal Development
• Knowledge of the LOB product portfolio
• Experience with payloads and/or buses
• Experience with integration across subsystem and system boundaries
• Significant experience in requirements and verification

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
