The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Site Industrial Hygienist to join the team in San Antonio, TX to serve as the primary Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) interface to Operations at the Boeing Global Services MRO facility in San Antonio, TX.
This hands‑on role provides daily IH support for maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities and oversees sitewide compliance for Workplace Exposures, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Personal Protective Equipment, Ionizing/Non‑Ionizing Radiation, Hazard Communication, Industrial Ventilation, Confined Space Entries, and Vertical Standards Compliance. The Industrial Hygienist will conduct exposure monitoring and assessments, perform indoor air quality (IAQ) and water‑intrusion investigations, evaluate engineering and administrative controls (including ventilation performance), and support incident investigations and implementation of EHS standards and best practices. Limited travel required.

Position Responsibilities:
- Perform industrial hygiene monitoring and exposure assessments for chemical, physical, and noise hazards (including use of noise dosimeters and other sampling equipment)
- Plan and conduct health and safety audits to ensure company and OSHA compliance
- Execute sampling using common NIOSH and OSHA methodologies and maintain chain-of-custody documentation for project samples
- Conduct IAQ investigations and evaluate water intrusion events and perform ventilation system performance and airflow testing
- Inspect for asbestos, mold, and lead-based paint and document findings and recommend remediation or exposure controls
- Identify and recommend appropriate PPE controls (chemical glove selection, respirator cartridge selection, etc.) and support Respiratory Protection and Hearing Conservation programs
- Support programs and monitoring for ionizing and non‑ionizing radiation safety, confined space, heat stress, hazard communication, and related IH programs
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver safety and health training; maintain and manage recordkeeping and reporting systems
- Prepare comprehensive exposure assessment reports, technical analyses, and presentations for Operations and leadership
- Develop, implement and monitor occupational health and safety programs and processes including evaluation of new chemical procurement request
- Participate in incident investigations, audits, inspections, and corrective action tracking
- Evaluate the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations
- Identify and develop corrective action plans to respond to internal/external audits and inspections
- Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively on cross‑functional teams

Physical Hazards and Instrumentation
- Ionizing and non‑ionizing radiation safety monitoring and oversight
- Noise dosimetry and hearing conservation program implementation
- Ventilation system performance testing and airflow assessment
Building Systems and Contaminant Sources
- Indoor air quality investigations and water-intrusion assessment
- General understanding of HVAC systems, building mechanicals, and building construction as they relate to IH
- Inspections for mold and asbestos; assessment of source and pathway
Documentation, Communication and Training
- Technical report writing with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Prepare and present professional briefings and training materials
- Develop and maintain IH recordkeeping and reporting systems

- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, or directly related field
- 3+ years of direct industrial hygiene experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Practical experience applying NIOSH/OSHA sampling methods, exposure assessment, and IH control strategies
- Demonstrated technical writing, data analysis, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and effective team member
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Prior experience in aerospace or MRO environments
- Experience preparing chain-of-custody documentation and formal IH reports
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or progress toward certification
