Responsibilities
• Defining and documenting the configuration items (CIs) within the IT environment, including hardware, software, and network components.
• Coordinating changes to configuration items to ensure that only authorized modifications are implemented.
• Ensure configuration management policies are followed.
• Conduct audits and verifications to ensure that the configuration items are correctly implemented and maintained.
• Coordinating changes to the IT environment to minimize disruption and ensure that changes are properly tested and documented.
• Supporting the government with change and release management of new or updated software and hardware components, ensuring proper testing and deployment.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of configuration items and providing regular reports on the status and performance of the IT environment.
• Automatically provisioning and de-provisioning virtual machines, storage, and network components based on demand, while leading the development of infrastructure-as-code solutions.
• Streamlining application and update deployments using automation tools to ensure timely and issue-free rollouts.
Qualifications
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
• 7+ years of professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Will need to be able to be onsite at NCUA facility as needed, located in Alexandria, VA; otherwise, the role is able to be performed remotely when NCUA site attendance is not required.
• Experience with version control systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps automation, and change management.
• Experience managing deployments via Azure pipelines.
• Current or previous release management experience desired.
• Experience defining and documenting the configuration items (CIs) within the IT environment, including hardware, software, and network components.
