Team Lead Medical Records Technician

Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an Exciting Potential Opportunity for a Medical Records Technician - Team Lead (Outpatient & Inpatient) to support Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System in Temple,TX.

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of continuous medical coding experience in a large, complex healthcare system (VA-level or equivalent)
• Must hold one of the following current credentials:
  
  • RHIT
  • RHIA
  • CCS / CCS-P
  • CPC

Required Technical Coding Skill Sets

Must be proficient in:

• ICD-10-CM
• HCPCS
• CPT (for outpatient)
• ICD-10-PCS and DRGs (for inpatient)

Experience supporting highly complex healthcare environments such as:

• Acute care teaching hospitals
• Surgical programs
• Ambulatory surgery
• Medical school affiliated facilities
• Telehealth programs
• Large specialty and domiciliary services
