As a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT OFFICER (TITLE 32), GS-2003-11, you will manage all uses of logistical support within the directorate.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of consideration for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : MUST possess experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field and experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : GS-11 Level - MUST possess specialized experience which includes at least 12 months at the lower-level GS-09, experience, education, or training supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions; knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system; experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues; and experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
SUPERVISORY SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : MUST possess specialized experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; and experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

- Direct activities concerned with salvage and protection of supply items
- Exercise direct supervisory and personnel management responsibilities
- Provide supervisory responsibility for subordinate acquisition workforce personnel.
- Plan, direct and organize the housing assignment, billeting, and logistical operations of a GTC to include such functions as inventory and storage management, quality assurance, maintenance, procurement and property utilization and disposal.
- Determine funding requirements and directs the preparation of budget justifications.
- Allocate resources at his/her disposal.
- Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
- Develop plans to support continuous training center operations.
- Manage categories such as as subsistence, medical supplies, petroleum, and common use supplies.
- Develop, modify, and/or interpret performance standards.
- Collaborate with heads of other units to coordinate work-related changes affecting other units as well as plan for training exercises.
- Review, analyze and interpret supply directives and procedural instructions and plans operating procedures to render the best possible support to the training centers and supported elements.
