JOB TITLE: QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN I

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE
CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Under direct supervision, the quality assurance technician I will perform and document inspections of manufacturing products and materials.

PRIMARY FUNCTION
Under direct supervision, the quality assurance technician I will perform and document inspections of manufacturing products and materials.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform inspection of manufactured parts and assemblies to provided data packages
- Document inspection results on approved forms
- Perform incoming inspection on raw material and outsourced processes
- Review and signoff on redlined drawings and engineering change requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma and 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing quality
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings
- Use of basic inspection tools (i.e. calipers / gauge blocks / thread gauges /micrometers)
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain results and methodologies
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree in related field
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand at a workstation for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
