We are seeking a Service Desk Intake Support Specialist/Help Desk individuals to support a high-visibility, mission-critical defense IT environment. This role supports enterprise IT services for a nationally significant command responsible for aerospace, cyber, and operational readiness missions. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, excels in technical troubleshooting, and can communicate clearly with users at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Tier I/II support via phone and ticketing system for hardware, software, networks, system access, and telecom issues.
Troubleshoot, identify, and analyze technical problems using documented procedures and historical data.
Escalate or route issues to specialized support teams when needed.
Maintain accurate records, update tracking systems, and report recurring issues or trends to leadership.
Ensure timely and professional customer interaction in a mission-focused support environment.

Minimum Qualifications

AA Degree + 3 years of related experience,
HS Diploma + 5 years with relevant technical certification.
DoD 8140 IAT II compliant (Security+ CE required).

Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication skills with the ability to support users from junior personnel to senior leadership.
Experience working with DoD systems, cryptographic equipment, or controlled materials.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting systems and networks across Solaris, Unix, and/or Linux environments.
Familiarity with DoD messaging systems and protocols.
Background supporting high-availability, mission-critical IT operations.
