Northrop Grumman Corporate office is currently seeking to fill a full-time Director 2 - Technology & Innovation leader position in our Corporate Chief Technology Office (CTO) reporting directly to the CTO.
As Director of Technology & Innovation, you will be the strategy leader responsible for the execution of the Corporate Chief Technology Officer's (CTO's) technical vision and strategy for the organization. Leadership characteristics and strong technical proficiency are essential for this change-agent role. This role creates strategies to identify and develop emerging & disruptive technology roadmaps; build partnerships with the internal and external technology ecosystem; develop the next generation of technology leaders; align investments and resources to successfully achieve these goals; and position the enterprise for long-term technology leadership.
This role requires critical collaboration and influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders.
The location preference of this position is Falls Church, VA; we will also consider the role being performed at any of Northrop Grumman's major locations.

A successful candidate will lead and collaborate across functional organizations. They will create strong partnerships with other disciplines (at all levels) to realize effective change. Their work requires significant initiative and measured risk taking as well as the ability to prioritize across multiple high profile efforts. Candidate will determine organizational objectives, interprets, and often develop company policies. Completed work is reviewed only from a long-term perspective, for desired results and alignment with overall long-range planning. Determines organizational objectives in accordance with corporate-wide strategies and policies.

Primary Level Salary Range: $209,000.00 - $363,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Lead the development of the enterprise technology strategy, including alignment of resources to successfully achieve and accelerate business outcomes
- Develop and maintain long-term focused enterprise technology roadmaps for emerging and disruptive capabilities aligned to the overall company and technology strategies - positioning the corporation for long term growth.
- Lead senior customers and executive leader briefings, positioning the corporation as well as understanding customer roadmaps & gaps.
- Coordinate & lead across the enterprise, serving as a key interface for corporate leadership on various Corporate and Sector strategic engagements, products, and events such as the CTO Executive Committee (CTO EXCOM), Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance structure, Strategy Sessions, and Customer visits.
- Enable GR (Government relations) and Business development teams by providing strategic messaging, providing technology support as needed.
- Identify relevant NG technologies to address emerging warfighter needs such as the pacing INDOPACOM and EUCOM scenarios.
- Represent the corporation in the technology ecosystem including participation in customer, industry, and/or academic, advisory boards.
- Responsible for accurate and thorough reporting and tracking of alignment and execution of technologies, capabilities, long-term planning, and investments across the corporation's analytical tools.
- Provide oversight and accountability to multifunctional teams, including Sector's Independent Research Investment System (RDIS) representatives and peers in Sectors CTO and Strategy organizations, to ensure all goals and objectives are met.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree and thirteen (13) years of relevant experience OR 9 Years with PhD
- Active US Government Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI, SAP/SAR
- Demonstrated change management leadership and results.
- Ten (10) years of experience in advanced technology development.
- Experience with direct report leadership and managing teams.
- Ability to develop and foster an inclusive work environment that attracts, retains, and inspires diverse and engaged teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in STEM, MBA, or higher degree
- Northrop Grumman Portfolio briefed and a current Top Secret/SCI.
- Experience with strategic technology identification, development, and integration to include AI.
- Demonstrated ability to manage communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored, and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs.
- Proven collaborator, with proven ability to work across multiple disciple areas
- Experience across multiple domains - Space through Ground - including collaborations within various NGC sectors.
- Experience across different business models: commercial, startups as well as government facing organization - with a firm understanding of various business models and their applicability.
- Experience and comfort with disruptive technologies and business models - including the application of emerging commercial technologies to warfighter missions.
- Experience with international partners - especially in the technology ecosystem.
- Experience with Digital Transformation initiatives and/or other multiyear initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of NG and U.S. Government products and systems, missions and operations.
- In-depth knowledge and experience engaging with the Department of War (DoW) and the Intelligence Community (IC).
- Experience with multiple Northrop Grumman business areas, setting a driving strategy via initiatives, AOP, and LRSP.
