You will be the You will be the Project Engineer - Lower Tier Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) for the Missiles & Fire Control - IAMD team. Our team designs, develops, and field proves advanced air and missile defense solutions, delivering integrated hardware and software that protect U.S. and allied forces worldwide.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Project Engineer you will own the end to end proposal process for Lower Tier IAMD production programs. You'll partner with engineering, finance, program management, and customer stakeholders to craft competitive, cost realistic offers-ranging from rough order of magnitudes to firm estimates-for domestic, FMS, and DCS opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading the development, planning, and scheduling of all proposal activities (ROMs, P&A, NTEs, firm estimates).
• Gathering and consolidating technical, cost, and schedule data from functional departments to build compliant proposals.
• Researching historic program data and building cost models that support should cost and pricing analyses.
• Coordinating fact finding meetings, conducting price to win studies, and presenting proposal status to program leadership.
• Acting as the liaison between the proposal team and customers, management, and the contract negotiation group.
• Ensuring all RFP requirements are met and that proposals are delivered on time and within quality standards.
• Supporting occasional travel to customer sites, partner facilities, or industry conferences as needed.

Further Information About This Opportunity:
This position is in Grand Prairie, TX.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Proposal, contract and/or financial experience.
- Experience reading SOWs and determining program requirements across all functions.
- Experience working and knowledge of contractual terms and conditions, Statement of Work, Deliverables, etc.
- Ability to work multiple projects and issues simultaneously from inception to completion.
- Ability to interface and work well with multiple functional areas (i.e. sourcing, receiving, shipping, engineering, quality, contracts, program office and external customers)
- Excellent organizational, research and problem solving skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
