Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Full-time Early Career Data Engineer. In this role, you will perform analysis and data trending for aircraft systems. Create algorithms to find patterns in historical part removals and project impending part failures. Conduct root cause investigations and support corrective action planning to enhance system reliability. Evaluate conceptual and advanced designs for reliability performance and recommend improvements to optimize design efficiency. Analyze supplier repair data and aircraft field data to calculate, track, and present aircraft performance metrics. Create clear, compelling data visualizations to communicate trends and support engineering decisions.
Identify and recommend process improvements that increase team effectiveness and streamline analysis workflows. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or aeronautical engineering.
Coursework in Python, Time Series Data, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Correlation and Verification, and Interpretable Artificial Intelligence.
Experience in manipulation/analysis of data in spreadsheets (MS Excel Formulas, Pivot Tables, and/or VBA).
Experience in formal presentation development, PowerPoint construct and delivery, and working in a team environment.
Desired Skills:
-Strong math background, with emphasis on statistical data analysis.
-Ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy and quick delivery.
-Ability to apply statistical methods to analyze time series data including design of experiments, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing.
-Ability to develop and implement statistical models to predict outcomes of time series data.
-Experience using Python.
-Experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML).
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering or a STEM discipline.
-Experience in using databases and/or visualizations (MS Access, HANA, Tableau, or SQL/Oracle).

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
