Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2026.
In this role, you will:
• Provide technical support to a variety of technical tasks.
- Gather, maintain, format, and manipulate technical data such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
• Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flowcharts, block diagrams, and schematics)
• Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
• Participate in activities with domain experts across subsystems, SEIT, and special disciplines
• Participate in subsystem level technical reviews including TIMs, SRRs, PDRs, etc
This position is located at a facility that requires special access. A government security clearance is required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Actively enrolled in Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Systems, or Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college
• Experience with analyzing and resolving technical problems or projects
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with CAD
• Eligibility to obtain a U.S Government Secret Level Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship required
Desired Skills:
• Proficient in complex problem solving requiring multidisciplinary thinking
• Experience with System or System of Systems level design
• Excellent communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, customers, and leadership.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
• Active or Current Secret Security clearance

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
