Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least four years of experience designing HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and controls for commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario in good standing.
- Able to obtain security clearance for government work.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Ten years of experience with a strong consulting industry background.
- Experience with sustainability standards such as LEED, Net Zero, Passive House, or Envision.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead design and construction administration for mechanical projects.
- Develop high-quality, detailed designs for HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Controls systems.
- Conduct HVAC calculations and analysis using industry programs.
- Ensure designs conform with all applicable codes and client standards.
- Provide technical input to studies and design reports to meet client requirements.
- Travel to construction sites for mechanical inspections and prepare reports.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and contribute expertise to live projects.
