ASRC Federal Broadleaf Division is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) - DoDAF Architect to provide direct support to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL.
Position Overview
The DoDAF Architect will provide senior-level subject matter expertise and programmatic support to the USSOCOM J65. This role is responsible for delivering enterprise-wide DoDAF, JCIDS, and SOFCIDS situational awareness; maintaining Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools; and developing authoritative architecture products for USSOCOM and Joint stakeholders.

ASRC Federal Broadleaf Division is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) - DoDAF Architect to provide direct support to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL.
Position Overview
The DoDAF Architect will provide senior-level subject matter expertise and programmatic support to the USSOCOM J65. This role is responsible for delivering enterprise-wide DoDAF, JCIDS, and SOFCIDS situational awareness; maintaining Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools; and developing authoritative architecture products for USSOCOM and Joint stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Support
- Provide comprehensive DoDAF/JCIDS/SOFCIDS situational awareness to the enterprise.
- Support the operations and maintenance of EA tools, including database administration and backups.
- Develop, publish, and post architecture products on USSOCOM and Joint portals.
- Deliver subject matter expertise to EA staff, ensuring strong understanding of USSOCOM core operations (e.g., foreign internal defense, unconventional warfare).
Collaboration & Compliance
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including the DoD CIO, Intelligence Community, Joint Staff, Military Services, DISA, Component Commands, and TSOCs to develop EA and capability architectures.
- Review proposed capability architectures and guidance for impacts to the SIE and ensure compliance with Joint and USSOCOM standards.
- Evaluate USSOCOM, Component Command, and TSOC capability architecture proposals for compliance and alignment.
Architecture Development
- Create and maintain EA and DoDAF architecture products and documentation for:
- SOCREB (Special Operations Command Requirements Evaluation Board)
- JROC (Joint Requirements Oversight Council)
- DoD Business Enterprise Architecture submission and approval
- Develop "fit for purpose" architecture products to support CIO priorities and events.
- Use a variety of DoD and Joint resources-including ACART, UJTL Task Development Tool, and GIG Technical Guidance-Federation-to create EA and capability architectures.
- Review and assess DoD, Joint, Military Service, DISA, and IC architecture guidance for impacts to the SIE.
Systems & Portal Administration
- Upload USSOCOM products and maintain the USSOCOM section of the Warfighting Mission Area Architecture Integration Portal (SIPRNet/NIPRNet).
- Administer USSOCOM architecture software and databases.
- Participate in DoDAF-related conferences, virtually or in person.
Architecture Mapping & Analysis
- Capture current ("as-is") architectures for USSOCOM Enterprise services and develop logical and physical service maps.
- Produce comprehensive "as-is" diagrams for USSOCOM data centers, 36 Regional Support Centers (RSCs), and networks.
CJADC2 Support
- Provide System Architecture and Engineering support to USSOCOM for Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) capabilities, including architecture modeling and standardized documentation.
- Support CJADC2 exercise planning and development for SONIC SPEAR and ELITE CONSTELLATION, including:
- Systems engineering
- Requirements analysis
- System-of-systems integration
- Lifecycle management
- System accreditation
- Collaborate closely with USSOCOM SOF AT&L and DoD/Joint Staff system architects to ensure interoperability and alignment with Joint Force capabilities.
Travel & Duty
- Provide on-site support during duty hours at assigned location.
- Travel CONUS and OCONUS as required (e.g., Washington, D.C.; HQ USSOCOM; Component Commands; TSOCs).
Required Experience
- Proven experience supporting high-level DoD customers.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong research, data verification, and analytical abilities.
Education
- Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Clearance
- TS/SCI required
