Position Summary:
ANSER is seeking a Radiological and Nuclear Defense Analyst to support the Joint Requirements Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JRO-CBRND). In this key role you will integrate efforts across the Services, Combatant Commands, and other Department of Defense (DoD) organizations within radiological and nuclear defense (RND) capability requirement programs. Additionally, you will directly support the alignment of Joint and Multi-Service chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense (CBRND) requirements to today's dynamic concepts of operation and participates in the JRO-CBRND process for evaluating and integrating Joint requirements.

This position does not permit a hybrid work schedule with all job duties to be performed full-time onsite at the Pentagon.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Support the JRO-CBRND and work in coordination with the Services and Combatant Commands to evaluate and integrate RND capability requirements.
  • Identify and address RND capability gaps from various DoD Components, including the Services, Combatant Commands, and other organizations.
  • Oversee and support development of Capstone Concept documents.
  • Organize and conduct a quarterly RND Integrated Concept Team (ICT) meeting with all relevant stakeholders and develop/publish meeting minutes.
  • Develop and complete Joint Staff Action Packages (JSAPs) using the Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) to accomplish tasks.
  • Provide RND advice to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Service personnel, as needed.
  • Provide support as an RND subject matter expert.
  • Develop and brief senior-level RND presentations.
  • Prepare regular reports on various technical issues related to RND.
  • Support the JRO-CBRND's RND equities within the Chemical and Biological Defense Program (CBDP) Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process.


Required Qualifications:
  • Possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline such as such as chemistry, physics, nuclear physics, engineering, or similar.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with radiological and nuclear defense programs and stakeholders.
  • Experience analyzing warfighter gaps and needs and integrating
  • Experience organizing and conducting meetings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience engaging and briefing Defense Senior Executive Service members and Flag Officers.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • CBRND experience.
  • 5+ of experience working in a Joint and/or Service staff environment.
  • Knowledge of DoD planning, programming, budgeting, and execution and defense acquisition system policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Experience developing JSAPs and using ETMS2.
