Core4ce is seeking a highly experienced Senior Platform Engineer to provide advanced expertise in monitoring, maintaining, containerizing and scaling platform services to ensure high availability, security, and performance within enterprise environments. The selected candidate will be required to perform duties on-site within a cleared space at Joint Base Charleston and must meet all associated security and access requirements. This role is critical in enabling a transition to cloud-native, containerized, and CSSP-compliant operational platforms.

Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain a DevOps environment involving OpenShift, GitLab, Artifactory, and Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security (RHACS) across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Support production troubleshooting, operational continuity, and mission-critical incident response.
- Operate and perform advanced lifecycle management functions.
- Optimize platform resource utilization, enforce RBAC and namespace isolation, and automate scaling using native orchestration.
- Leverage OpenShift Operators, Service Mesh, and GitOps deployment patterns in support of modernizing existing infrastructure and applications
- Collaborate with government and contractor leads to ensure alignment with mission requirements.
- Assist as needed to package, secure, and promote hardened CSSP workloads through controlled CI/CD pipelines and OpenShift-native tooling
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional experience in DevOps and cloud/hybrid platforms engineering.
- Secret clearance with a T5 investigation, or Top Secret
- IAT Level II certification/DoD 8570 compliance (Security+ CE, CISSP, or equivalent)
- Hands-on expertise with Red Hat OpenShift (enterprise-level), GitLab, Artifactory, and Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security (RHACS)
- Proven experience in containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Strong background in automation and Shell scripting, especially with Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex platform issues and implement lasting solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, globally distributed team.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government architecture, and VMware.
- Experience with ensuring compute capacity planning and lifecycle management.
- Experience supporting large-scale, geographically dispersed datacenter environments.
- Familiarity with CSSP Tools and best practices.
- Working knowledge of security compliance requirements, such as Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Prior experience recommending and implementing platform optimization strategies at scale.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification or the ability to get one
