The Tool Room Attendant will be based at one of three Amentum sites in Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will be responsible for providing special tool control, requisition processing, and calibration scheduling of assigned equipment. This position will report to the Senior Property Specialist. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
DUTIES:

WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS:
This position may be in a war zone, in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120- 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50-55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and 'duck & cover' during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.

DUTIES:
- Monitor inventory levels and order new tools and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked tool room.
- Receive, store, and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices.
- Maintain accurate records of tools and equipment, including issuing, receiving, and tracking their usage within the system of record.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure all items are accounted for and in good condition.
- Perform due diligence to find lost or misplaced tools.
- Visually inspect tools for wear or defects and report damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors.
- May coat tools with grease or other preservative, using brush or spray gun and replaces common hardware.
- Replace batteries and bulbs in work lights.
- Repair equipment cases as necessary.
- May attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment, using electric marking tool.
- Notify customers, collect equipment, prepare and ship asset for calibration.
- Ensure system of record accurately reflects to calibration details of all required assets.
- Keep the tool room organized and clean, ensuring tools are stored properly and are easily accessible to customers.
- Support Quality Assurance during an audit of the tool room operation.
- Assist personnel in identifying and obtaining required tools.
- Protect tools and equipment from pilferage and misuse.
- Monitor the storage, rotation, and issuance of tools required by personnel.
- Keep supervisors and requestors apprised of status of items routed for repair.
- Other qualified duties as required.
- Continued job-related education/training may be required.

REQUIRED:
Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:
- Two (2) or more years' experience in a tool or material-controlled environment or related supply position.
- Experience with analysis and research using the MS Office Suite of programs.
- Handling of U.S. Government property procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of hand tools, hardware and equipment.
- Knowledge of the (FAR) and industry leading practices regarding government property.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend technical manuals and instructions.
- Must have minimum 20/100 near and far vision, correctable to 20/20.
- Ability to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.
- Ability to implement all technical requirements as they apply.
- Ability to walk and stand on level and/or unlevel surfaces for up to six hours per day and sit for up to two hours per day.
- Ability to climb stairs, ramps, ladders and work stands.
- Ability to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- Ability to carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.

Education:
- A high school diploma or GED.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid drivers' license from Home of Record.

- As part of pre-contingency requirements, by the time the visa process starts, candidates must possess a valid passport with a minimum of 18 months remaining until the expiration date with 8 blank pages.

Security Vetting:
- Already possess a US Government issued security clearance or Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) or be able to obtain a favorable MRPT certification or US Government clearance prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification or clearance level for the duration of the contract.
Language Skills:
- Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures.
Medical:
- Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment.
DESIRED:
- Previous outside-of-home-country experience is highly desirable and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions is a plus.
- Experience working with Amentum.
