Job Title: Emergency Room Physician Assistant

Overview: Nellis AFB is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Physician Assistant to provide high-quality emergency and primary care under physician supervision. The PA will assess, diagnose, and treat patients in a fast-paced military medical environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an ARC-PA-accredited Physician Assistant Program.
- Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or Red Cross-approved). NCCPA certification required. Certifications must remain current.
- Experience: At least 24 months of PA experience within the last 36 months.
- Licensure: Full, unrestricted PA license in any U.S. state, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
- Board Certification: No additional board certification required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency and primary care with physician supervision.
- Conduct histories, physical exams, diagnostic evaluations, and develop treatment plans.
- Identify and manage emergent conditions; initiate treatment and coordinate higher-level care.
- Approve/deny specialty referrals and support patient phone consults.
- Deliver preventive care and admit inpatients per facility procedures.
- Stabilize and prepare emergency patients for transfer or evacuation.
- Perform nerve blocks (digital, local infiltration, intercostal) and urological procedures.
- Maintain accurate inpatient and outpatient medical records.
