We are seeking an experienced Maximo Technical Developer / Integration Engineer to support a high-visibility, rapid implementation program. The role involves designing, developing, and delivering integrations between IBM Maximo and Deltek Costpoint, with a primary focus on procurement, inventory, and receiving processes.

This is a contract position requiring immediate availability and the ability to operate in an accelerated delivery timeline.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maximo Integration Development
  • Design, develop, and implement integrations using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), including object structures, publish channels, enterprise services, and processing rules.
  • Build and maintain inbound and outbound interfaces related to:
    • Purchase Requisitions (Maximo ? Costpoint)
    • Purchase Orders (Costpoint ? Maximo)
    • Receipts / Receiving transactions (Maximo ? Costpoint)

2. Technical Specifications & Mapping
  • Translate business process requirements into detailed interface specifications, including:
    • Field mappings
    • Data transformation logic
    • Trigger conditions and scheduling
    • Error handling and transaction management
  • Produce technical documentation for integrations, scripts, configuration, and deployment.

3. Development & Scripting
  • Develop automation scripts (Jython/Java) to support data flows and integration business rules.
  • Configure and extend Maximo objects, domains, workflows, and MBO customizations as needed.
  • Work alongside middleware/API developers to ensure accurate and secure data exchange.

4. Testing & Troubleshooting
  • Conduct unit testing and support system and integration testing.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to Maximo data, Web Services, JSON/XML structures, security, and connectivity.
  • Assist in cutover planning and go-live support, including troubleshooting production issues.

5. Collaboration
  • Work directly with the Program Architect and Costpoint technical leads.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, design sessions, and integration touchpoints.
  • Provide recommendations on integration best practices and system performance.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on Maximo technical experience
  • Deep expertise with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), including:
    • Enterprise Services
    • Publish Channels
    • Object Structures
    • Endpoints & External Systems
  • Strong development skills with Java, Jython, Automation Scripts, and Maximo configuration.
  • Experience building API/Web Service integrations (REST/SOAP).
  • Solid understanding of procurement and inventory processes within Maximo.
  • Ability to create detailed technical specifications and data mappings.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, agile or rapid-deployment environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating Maximo with Deltek Costpoint (highly desirable but not required).
  • Familiarity with middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services, or custom API layers).
  • Understanding of accounting, procurement, and receiving processes in ERP systems.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision under tight timelines

Security Clearance
  • Elegible to pass background check and obtain a security clearance.
