THE PROGRAM
The DarkStar Group's team provides Analytic Software Development, Data Engineering, and Cloud Migration services, as well as interagency communication and data-sharing solutions, as part of an enterprise program that spans two major Intelligence Community customers. This project regularly has new openings for Software Engineers, Cloud Infrastructure Experts, DevOps Engineers, Data Engineers, SharePoint Developers and Administrators, ServiceNow Developers, and various other types of IT professionals.
Work on this program takes place in Herndon, McLean, and Bethesda (we cannot support remote work) and requires a TS/SCI + Polygraph clearance (acceptable to this customer).

The Role
The DarkStar Group is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join our Development Team. You will support our client with design, creation, deployment, and maintenance of multiple ServiceNow scoped applications supporting the Intelligence Community. Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the ServiceNow platform including, but not limited to, ITSM, SPM>PPM, APW, CMDB, ITOM/ITAM, CSM, ATF, DevSecOps, Service Portal, HR Module, Change Management, Custom Development, etc.
- Develop and unit test, hold code reviews, and help to build the pipeline for continuous integration/continuous delivery.
- Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate roll out of new applications and modules and configure application UI, workflow, and API.
- Create, maintain configuration management on the ServiceNow platform in all environments.
- Collaborate effectively with other ServiceNow administrators to develop solutions and handle general updates and configuration changes/requests.
- Confer with Mission Partners to define their information technology goals and advise in the re-engineering of business processes to meet those goals.
- Provide expertise in standards and validations (e.g., ISO 9000).
- Provide group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer.
- Act as key coordinator between multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of re-engineering efforts.
- Champion awareness training and implementation of business processes.
- Develop process documentation, testing, workflows, and work plans.
- Lead and/or participate in requirements presentations to leadership and Mission Partners as required.
- Coordinate with multiple departments within and outside of the customer's organization to accomplish project tasks.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferably in an IT related field and a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or a Master's with 4 years of experience; an Associates with 8 years of experience.
- Extensive backend development experience with JavaScript's programming language and how it applies to ServiceNow, along with ServiceNow Glide.
- ServiceNow developer certification, preferably Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- Understanding of and support with, best practices across both commercial and federal sectors as it relates to workflow and process management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to team with industry partners.
- Ability to estimate work effort requirements efficiently and appropriately.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong public speaking skills and professional demeanor required.
- Experience in scrum and agile frameworks for development to include task management, performing stand-ups and sprint reviews, gathering requirements, and creating documentation.
Desired Skills (Optional)
- Configuration Management experience and certifications.
- Graphics design or UX/UI design experience.
- Experience in HTML/CSS and Jelly scripting.
- Previous work within the Intelligence Community.
