Zachary Piper Solutions is seekinga System Administrator to support a critical DoD network for U.S. Navy in San Diego, CA. The team is seeking an individual who is well-versed with Linux and Windows OS to provide upkeep and maintenance of physical, virtual, and cloud-based servers in the project laboratory.
Clearance: Secret clearance
Location: San Diego, CA (100% onsite)

Responsibilities of the System Administrator:
· Serve as the primary System Administrator for Linux and Windows environments, including physical and virtual servers and desktop systems in the project laboratory.
· Perform RHEL system administration for physical and virtual servers.
· Manage Windows Server administration for physical and virtual servers.
· Administer AWS cloud services, including provisioning and maintenance.
· Oversee ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution) management and reporting.
· Configure and maintain DNS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
· Perform vulnerability mitigation based on ACAS scan results.
· Apply DISA STIGs to ensure compliance with security standards.
· Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS), and trace connections between machines.
· Work within established configuration management processes and procedures to maintain system integrity and documentation.

Qualifications of the System Administrator:
- Secret clearance required
- 3+ years of related experience administering Windows and Linux OS
- IAT II certification (Sec+, CYSA+, etc.), CCNA preferred
- Linux certification highly preferred (Linux+, RHCE, RHCSA, RHCDS)
- Strong understanding of Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server administration.
- Experience with AWS cloud environments.
- Familiarity with ACAS, DISA STIGs, and vulnerability remediation.
- Knowledge of network fundamentals and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple systems effectively.
- Experience with configuration management tools and best practices.
Compensation of the System Administrator:
- Total compensation based on experience level - $110,000-$120,000 **based on years of experience and degree level**
